BREAKING: Highway 401 Shut Down in Whitby After Deadly Crash

Whitby, Ontario - A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 401 near Highway 412 in Whitby has left four dead, including an infant, and closed the highway in both directions.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) report that the crash occurred as a result of a police pursuit. The suspect in the pursuit fled the scene of the crash. OPP are currently searching for the suspect.

Westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Whitby have since reopened, but eastbound lanes remain closed. The closure is expected to last for several hours.
