Mauritius Blocks Norwegian Cruise Ship

On November 15, 2023, authorities in Mauritius blocked the Norwegian Cruise Line ship, Wonder of the Seas, from docking at its port. The reason for the ban is not yet clear.

Saga Cruise Passengers Injured

On March 24, 2024, passengers on the Saga Cruises ship, Spirit of Adventure, were injured after getting caught in rough seas. The ship was en route to Antarctica when it encountered the storm. The severity of the injuries is not yet known.
